The 1965 Buick Riviera Gran Sport, a Builder’s Choice award winner at the 2016 Goodguys PPG Nationals in Columbus, Ohio, is one of the latest projects to come out of Mississippi’s Mike Goldman Customs Inc.
For a relatively small shop, Mike and Talbert Goldman sure do turn out a lot of cars! Their latest is this great looking Axalta gold ’65 Buick Riviera for customer Bob Garwood.–
The color choice was spot on so stunning as it blends well with the interior. Rolling on color matched Grip Equipped Dropkick Forgeline wheels and 15-inch/6-piston Baer brakes, the 3,900-pound curb weight is not a problem at all thanks to a 638 Hp LS9, giving the Art Morrison chassis a real workout!
Handling that power is a Bowler Performance 4L80-E four-speed automatic transmission and Strange Engineering 9″ rear end. Road trips are family-friendly thanks to a custom leather Paul Atkins interior. The Goldman’s did a great job blending classic lines with modern performance here.
Awesome, outstanding restomod! Check it out!
