The PR folks for Polaris Industries released the news that, “Slingshot introduces the ultimate in comfort, style, and technology with the new Grand Touring LE.”

Polaris Slingshot Grand Touring LE
Polaris Slingshot is a three-wheeled motorcycle that delivers a ride like nothing else you’ve ever experienced. Polaris debuted the option for its three-wheeled “autocycle”, and it comes packed with numerous niceties as standard.

One of the Slingshot’s most popular options, the Slingshade roof, is standard on the Grand Touring LE trim, which provides riders protection from the sun. It also looks mighty cool with the Slingshot’s gullwing doors.

With the GT LE, Polaris clearly is inviting people to the Slingshot experience who prefer not to bake in the sun or subject themselves to thunderstorms without protection other than weatherproof riding gear.

Other amenities include Slingshot’s Quilted Comfort Seats and experience the industry-leading Ride Command infotainment system with turn-by-turn navigation, black cast aluminum wheels and a color-matched rear fender. The release informs us further that the only color combo will be “Matte Gray and Indy Red” with limited-edition graphics.

The Slingshot Grand Touring LE shares the same GM 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and five-speed manual transmission with the rest of the Slingshot lineup making 173-horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque that will leave you grinning from ear-to-ear.

Driving requirements for the Polaris Slingshot are directed by legislators at the state level, but thanks to a new “autocycle” classification, you do not need a motorcycle license to drive a Slingshot in 41 states. You can enjoy the fun and exciting ride only a Slingshot can offer with a valid state driver’s license.

If you want something totally unique, a total blast to drive, something with a futuristic style and something that you can mod 9 ways from Sunday, and something everyone wants to go for a ride in then buy a Slingshot.

The Grand Touring LE will be available at Polaris Slingshot dealers throughout the U.S. and Canada this March with a starting price of $29,999.
