Aston Martin Vulcan is a Supercar that Takes Your Breath Away

Some of the car manufacturers simply have the opportunity to design masterpieces on four wheels. Aston Martin is among them and with its model Vulcan, it exceeded the expectations even of the most stubborn skeptics who believed that currently there is no manufacturer that can come close to the models of McLaren “P1 GTR” and Ferrari “FXX K”.

But, Aston Martin Vulcan is the real response to these two automotive pearls. While the both models of McLaren and Ferrari have a hybrid engine, Vulcan is equipped with standard atmospheric V12 engine with a capacity of 7 liters that produces 811 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque without turbochargers or similar electronic and mechanical devices.
Just as its name implies, Vulcan owns abundant strength, but its design is breathtaking as well. The whole car is made from top materials and components that can rarely be seen in the most expensive cars.

The body is made partially of carbon fiber, and the bigger part of the transmission is made of magnesium. They also used aluminum and titanium, in order to keep the weight of the vehicle on minimum level, but also to achieve higher rigidity.

The power of the brutal engine to the rear wheels will be transferred by 6-speed sequential gearbox, while the adjustable shock absorbers, seven-stage Bosh ABS and 11-stage traction control system are in charge of the stability.
The control system which is in charge to prevent the wheel traction and the ABS system can be controlled by the switches, according to the wishes and needs of the driver.

The maximum speed of this car exceeds the limit of 200mph (320kmh).
Although it weighs only 1300 kilograms (2,866 pounds) this “rocket” must use extreme brakes in order to stop. Brembo is in charge of the brakes with carbon-ceramic racing discs with dimensions of 380 millimeters for the front and 360 millimeters for the rear wheels.
Aston Martin Vulcan has no homologation to appear on the streets and all 24 produced cars will be driven exclusively on the racetracks.
The price of this car is $ 2.3 million (plus taxes).
Too much? Perhaps, but all 24 cars have already been sold. For that price the owners of the Vulcan will be part of the three-year program of Aston Martin which will allow them to drive on the tracks in Abu Dhabi (Yas Marina), France (Paul Ricard), UK (Silverstone) and Belgium (Spa), under the watchful eye of the experienced racers and technical team.
