Chris Kinker’s Fathom Green ProTouring ’69 Camaro

Are you ready for 41 seconds of hot rod bliss? Can you even fathom this cool green paint job?

Chris’ incredible pro-touring ‘69 Camaro was built by Michigan’s Dutchboys Hotrods and has been restored to the original 1969 Fathom Green color.

In 2004, Chris’ wife bought this car for him as a gift. He sent it to one body shop to try to get it looking good and got completely screwed with shoddy work, ridiculous bills and gave up on the car. In 2009, he started back on it and finally finished it in April of this year.

His friend Billy Utley did the metalwork on the car, including the roll bar and other metal work. Under the hood, Chris went with a Chevrolet Performance LS3 detailed out with Holley EFI fuel rails, cross braces, and much more.

It’s powered by a 480HP LS3 crate engine mated to a Tremec T56 Magnum transmission. It’s sitting on full Detroit Speed suspension, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (275/35ZR18 & 325/30ZR19) and Forgeline GA3 wheels with a staggered 18×10 in the front and 19×12 in the rear finished with Gunmetal centers and Polished outers.

Instead of ordering a set of Wilwood or Baer brakes, he decided to order a C6 Z06 conversion kit from Kore3 to utilize the best stuff that comes on Chevrolet’s sports cars of the modern world. This car is incredible from the front to the back thanks to Dutchboys Hotrods job on the paint & body work. Chris’ 13-year journey definitely came to fruition with this beautiful ride.
