The “Unbreakable” – Mind Blowing Masterpiece Of Art By Thunderbike!!!

- in Bikes

With fantastic line and almost obsessive attention to detail, the Thunderbike Unbreakable is an astonishing piece of custom bike German engineering.

Just look at all those details – it is the Sistine Chapel among the Choppers.

Although the chopper is a distinctly American breed of custom motorcycle, that hasn’t prevented bike builders from other parts of the world from getting in on the act. The chopper-building scene is particularly strong in Europe, where Old World artistry and craftsmanship meets New World swagger and rebelliousness. Hard to beat a combination like that, don’t you think?

The bike was built by Thunderbike Customs, a shop located in a small town Hamminkeln near Essen, Germany.

Thunderbike uses original Harley Davidson parts for the complete drive components and electronics, but all other parts are produced in-house. The self-constructed, milled parts are a particular Thunderbike specialty: fork bridges, turn signals, wheels, radiator grills, stops, hand grips, gas caps and seats are all milled in the company’s workshop, sometimes with highly stylish ornamentation.

All components are modeled and constructed in the CAD system and receive their unique look during this phase, with the complete project expanding in a virtual kit of components where appearance, fitting accuracy and assembly capability are ideally matched and assessed.

“With hyperCAD we’re simply more flexible, especially with free-formed surfaces when nearing actual production,” said Herbert Niehues, responsible for the planning and production of components.
“Functional, yet breathtaking”, these were the two concepts which guided Andreas Bergerforth, Thunderbike founder, through the whole building process.

Other than the super cool design, the Thunderbike Unbreakable comes with a dual 340mm rotors 26″ front wheel, a 260mm Buel rotor rear wheel, is powered by a 110cui 100 HP Screamin’ Eagle EFI H-D engine mated to a 6-speed H-D transmission and a NH-power clutch. It took the German shop 6 months of work to manually design and manufacture all the bike’s parts and complete the final assembly, but we can surely say that this is one of the coolest bikes we’ve seen around.
