This Ford Ranger/Range Rover Off-Road Mutant Is Awesome

Do you like adventures? If you imagine adventures to be as climbing the mountains by driving and having some fun, then maybe you’ll need some kind of expedition car.

Now you have where to turn: The maniacs at Dirt Every Day, who fused a Ford Ranger to a Land Rover Range Rover in order to create one of the coolest (and creepiest) four-wheelers we’ve ever seen.

This is one of a kind – two in one double vehicle that goes both ways, both directions at the same time. This combination gives you freedom to play in the mud and climb rocks all together.

Cutting the back half of the Range Rover off was the first step, with a handy-dandy plasma torch in hand the delicate trimming could begin right in the middle. With the rear of the British truck removed, the bed of the Ranger was next to join the scrap pile. After both trucks were stripped of their useful cargo areas, the frame surgery could begin.

With the help of some additional steel for structure the surgery was completed and the accessories installed it was time for the maiden voyage.

The creators of this Frankenstein vehicle have a lot of fun testing it. You can see that on the video below. Two engines, four wheels steering, and someone always trying to drive the vehicle in reverse with a tent on the top of the chimera…what could possibly go wrong?

The good side of this double vehicle for sure is the fact that if one of the two engines somehow broke, you still can get to your destination driving the other side of this vehicle. Strange and crazy project for sure, but it’s interesting to see a fully functional car like this and see the benefits of it.
