Guy Filmed A Commercial To Help His Girlfriend Sell Her ‘96 Honda, And It’s Absolutely Brilliant!

- in Cars

It’s not easy to sell an 11-year-old Honda Accord with over 140,000 miles on it. Unless you are a tuner or a 16 year-old from the 90’s a 1996 Accord Coupe doesn’t exactly scream out to you.

Filmmaker Max Lanman‘s girlfriend recently needed to sell her 1996 Honda Accord. Sometimes, you have to go a bit beyond Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace to sell your aging car. To help her out, Lanman put his skills to use and made this fantastic commercial that’s fit for TV –  except, it’s for a single used car, to find a buyer.

Lanman’s YouTube post encourages viewers to read the fine print — here it is, if you missed it:
Limited time offer. 0% ARP for qualified buyers with Ebay accounts in good standing. Cash or cashier’s checks only. Bank will verify payment prior to release of vehicle. 141,095 miles as of 11/1/2017. Maintenance records available on request. Clean title. Registered through 8/8/2108. Passed smog check in August 2017. Brand new battery. Paint is in fantastic shape with few cosmetic dings. Drives like a dream. Cat and coffee pot not included. Bug shield, rubber duckies, and tape converter included. Featured girlfriend is not actual girlfriend, but an actor. Stunts not performed by a professional driver, but just my actual girlfriend. Do not attempt. Girlfriend is now fiancé.

According to the Kelley Blue Book, this car is worth around $1,500 — assuming it’s in fantastic condition. The video has since gone viral, with just shy of 3.1 million views on YouTube. It seems to be effective too. An eBay auction for the vehicle currently stands at nearly $21,000, and there are still few days left to bid.

How could anyone not want to own this car after watching this commercial?
