Incredible Video Shows How 200-Foot-Long Truck Make An Insane Sharp Turn On A Narrow Highland Road

We always wondered how those long trucks carrying windmill parts made it around corners, and now we have the answer.

Those towering wind turbines that are slowly starting to cover countrysides around the world don’t just show up overnight – and they’re definitely not dropped in place by a helicopter.

They arrive on trucks in pieces – staggeringly massive pieces – that test the skills of drivers navigating roads not designed to accommodate 200-foot long trailers. Wind turbine parts are really long, and to transport them, you need a really long truck.

A Incredible video shows how you solve a seemingly impossible problem – turning 90 degrees sharp right on a narrow Highland road carrying a 200-foot wind turbine blade.

Even with the ability to independently steer the trailer’s rear wheels, watching this trucker maneuver a gigantic wind turbine blade around a sharp 90-degree right turn, and then over a bridge, is a magnificent ballet to behold. Driver and trailer working in perfect harmony, so good to see.

Watch as this 200 foot-long turbine blade makes a hard 90 degrees right turn, thanks to an ingenious trailer design by Nooteboom, Dutch makers of the specially designed trailer.
