Introducing One Badass Russian Ride

- in Cars

Randomly surfing the web, we came across the badass Russian ride.

From the moment we saw the car, we knew we wanted to have a personal experience with it. However, a trip to Russia isn’t quite at the top of our list of priorities.

We tried reaching the owner, but all we could get was a robotic voice that, from what we understood, was telling us something like “check your network connection”. Realizing that we have no chance of meeting the menacing old-school Russian custom in person, we decided to stick to an on-line relationship with it – of course, we want to share everything with you.

As you can see, the vehicle started out in life as a 1993 Toyota Crown. The saloon used a 3 liter V6 engine and an automatic gearbox. A team of enthusiastic from Irkutsk, one of the largest cities in Siberia, strip the car of most of its body panels. Then the vehicle received a fiberglass body that was brought to the shape you see in the adjacent images.

The vehicle kept its four-door form, but now comes with classic styling cues and a chopped roof. As for the rims, the aforementioned lads installed a set of chromed, wheels which uses retro-style Goodyear tires.

The vehicle was also heavily modified from the tech point of view. We’ll just list a few of the tech goodies: engine turbocharged to 450 hp, new suspension, clutch and brakes.

As for the interior, this received a luxury treatment.
