Stunning Footage Shows MH-60R Sea-Hawk Nail-Biting Landing On Ship In The Extreme Conditions

Watch this intense video of a new Danish MH-60R Seahawk landing on the small pitching and rolling helicopter deck of a patrol vessel.

The Danish Air Force has received three of eight ordered MH-60R Seahawks and they released incredible footage of pilots test driving a new helicopter in the extreme conditions of the North Atlantic Ocean.

This Landing here is filmed during a test of the new MH-60R SEAHAWK helicopter around the Faroe Islands, where a Danish and an Australian test pilot should find limitations as to when it is safe to land on the Danish patrol vessels in Thetis-class.
They had the unenviable task of test-flying the choppers in “wild” conditions to find out whether they could cope.

Despite strong swells, powerful gales and crashing waves the pilots manage to expertly guide the chopper down on the back of the patrol vessel without any mishap.

As you can see, landing a helicopter on the small, pitching deck of an ocean patrol vessel requires skills, coordination and some bravery.
